Solving the battery problem...

Anyone thought of putting solar strips on the black borders of tablet pc's (or on the back for that matter). Just an idea... Any thoughts?

Re: Makes you think though...

Yes, I agree with you. Hence me stating that I understand the situation.

I am watching 'Dr. Strangelove' as I type and I feel history is repeating itself. The Communist threat then is the North Koreans' now. I believe NK people are being oppressed, starved and ruled by a puppet master hiding behind a cloak of a giant military force ruled by but a few, but I am also aware of the continuous negativity in which NK is being portrayed. As I have never visited NK, all information I have been receiving has been from sources keen on making NK look like the worst place on earth.

A bit like Communist Russia was portrayed during the cold war, don't you think?

Before you ask, 'yes' I have seen the BBC docu on NK and I feel deeply for the people, but in war those same people would fight harder for their country then any other. They can't help it...

Makes you think though...

North Korea gets penalized for firing a rocket but when America does it (after dropping 2 nukes on civilians, has a long history of hydrogen bomb and nuke testing plus invading a country under false pretenses), nobody cares that this technology can (and will) be used in WMD's.

I get it though, really I do. I just wish big countries would stop being bullies, grow up and play nice together before we are all blown to smithereens.

Have you ever seen a virus up close?

They are nasty little buggers and some even look like robots. (Yeah, I'm looking at you -T4 Bacteriophage!)

I say the more we get to know about these alien looking creatures, the better.

msx actually

It switched on the relay that would start or stop the tape drive. A buzzing sound would emit from the msx. I actually used a timer function so the mayhem started after I was well clear of the place. Fun times!

Ooh, I loved that TV show. Can't remember if I watched re-runs from a Dutch or English provider but it had me in stitches.

Same entertainment level as Dad's Army and On the buses. Classic gold!

To the first alcohol induced pregnancy in space

To the first... ah, you get it... ;)

Well I, for one, am inspired. You might think of me as one of those sheeple but I get my inspiration from the internet. It is an interactive medium where I can browse my interests without being held prisoner by a remote control. What I got, when I was watching the video, is the equivalent of a magic show. And I didn't even have to pay the price of an admission.

To Bradley (and friends)

Don't attack the women for having low self esteem and feeling like misfits in today's society. Peer pressure, biased self image when looking at airbrushed (sorry: PS'd) anatomically correct (sorry: disproportionate) models and, of course, "my guy likes them big, so see what I got him for his birthday!" attitude.

Bradley Hardleigh-Hadderchance, you said you want to know what's going on in a woman's mind who has this kind of surgery? Some actually feel better about it afterward. Increased self awareness, more confident and more outgoing. These are not always the women that go for extremely large sizes. I have less respect for those who want to impress their man or insert an excessive amount of silicone just to show of.

For a certain group of women it helps. Others need to be informed better (educated) in an educational environment at an early age (early teens).

Check their website thehobbitpub.co.uk

Looks like pretty any other pub, but they did use LOTR movies imagery. All in all a storm in a tea-cup, so to speak.

So I am off. Where to, you might ask. Well... I'm off to open my own Hobbit themed restaurant/bar/pub complete with: Midgets dressed as hobbits and LOTR movie memorabilia hanging from every wall. Interior and exterior designed in old fashioned Hobbit-ville style, complete with rounded doors and low ceilings. LOTR style wands, staffs and weaponry available for the interested. And I only have to pay 100 dollar a year to be able to do this? Where do I sign!?

Seems they don't want to get bad press before the opening of the Hobbit, in my opinion...

How soon till I can buy a 42" or 46" of this delicously crafted technology? I would say the TV's of the future will be 4k ready real soon (or even 8k) even before the movies are here.

Can walk, run, go down stairs *and* dance all without wires. I think the boffins at Honda scoff at this attempt of a running robot. Me believe that, if Honda would put a little bit of effort into this, they could create a running robot that would outrun a real cheetah (instead of calling it one)!

WTF?

When I first heard about holographic storage many years ago...

...people said it was a sure thing and a natural progression over other storage methods and media. You had artists drawing cubes with fancy lasers shooting at it and it would make quantum computing possible. And this was 12 years ago? Last article I read about was the comeback of storage tapes. What the Hell is going on here? Why haven't major names like Seagate, Panasonic or even Big Blue itself not jumped on this? Still patents? Wouldn't they be over InPhase like vultures if there really was something to see here? And still we talk about disks and tapes?

Is it too much to ask to have a tiny cube-like object able to retain my entire 3D porn collection?

I mean, really that much to ask after 12 years?
