re: "Mangy-Cours"

AMD name CPU's (have done for a while) after F1 locations, Mangy-Cours is in France I think, but it's genious naming for the 12 core product....

Overpriced

HMS Ocean cost £139m in 1993... So let’s triple this for inflation and making the ship more modern about £400m today - we could afford 10 of these for the cost of 2 QE class ships...

I would go for 10 modernised ocean class ships any day!

The full list...

OS2 1.0 to 3.0 as version number, then IBM and M$ split the dev trees, thus the 'new technology' was born...

NT3.1 = 3.1

NT3.5 = 3.5

NT4 = 4.0

2000 = 5.0

XP 32bit = 5.1

XP 64bit = 5.2

2003 = 5.2

Vista = 6.0

2008 = 6.0

Windows 7 = 6.1

re: Hindsight?

In 120 launches (so 240 SRB's) there has never been a single failure of the SRB's that would cause a launch failure... Challenger failed due to a breach in the main tank, because of o-ring failure, not something that will be an issue for the new launch setup.

So yes, they have very good proven reliability.
