Joel Silver optioned Altered Carbon for a reputed seven figure sum. My guess is that it's still in pre-production hell while they figure out how to make a film where the hero swaps bodies multiple times without confusing the hell out of the rednecks ;-)

Have to agree wholeheartedly with this. As much as we'd all like to tell Microsoft where to stick their 'standards' the real world doesn't work like that. I can only assume most of the posters here don't work in web design/development on a commercial level. To adopt such a stance would be a very swift route to zero clients and bankruptcy.

Just because the website is only being used to display adverts doesn't mean there aren't other services attached to the domain.
Unfortunately, for most people these days, domain == website - little or no consideration is given to anything else. The article says there are still 18 people using email services on the domain - what about their rights?
It's bad enough with DVDs already, non-skipable ads and trailers before you even get to the menu, but worst of all are the patronising threats about piracy. FFS, I've *bought* the bloody film already so just fuck off!!! Aaargh! No wonder more and more people are turning to P2P - if you're going to be treated like a criminal for *buying* a legitimate copy, then why bother?

If they wanted to name *themselves* 4real, 4skin, 4godssakekillmenow or whatever then I say great, go for it. It's that they want to burden some poor kid with such a name that's not on - they're the poor sod that will have to live with the results of their parent's faddish idiocy.
Oh, and everyone knows Mac users are fanboi spazzes anyhow...
Maybe someone should take the time to find the houses of all of Google's board or directors and take some pictures - actually lots of pictures - and post them. See if they're happy to have the same exposure as they're imposing on everyone else.

Try restarting your phone first. My 3GS kept hanging when I tried the jailbreak. Once I'd rebooted it worked straight away.
