I would much rather shop at Comet than DSG... I think I have an innate hatred for the Dixons, Currys and PC World group and would struggle to hand over any money to them...The online prices at Comet are the same as instore, and when I needed a new Dyson vacuum cleaner, they were by far the cheapest, by a hundred quid, and I got a £65 cleaning kit free... yaay... They also phone you an hour before they turn up, so you dont have to remain housebound waiting for them...
Saying that, I usually prefer to buy online rather than instore, so that you get the seven day distance selling regulations to return the item if you want...
Its going to get harder to actually touch the item you want to buy before you buy it soon, as the online marketplace kills off the bricks and mortar way of shopping...
I had a last generation Pioneer 50", and the difference between Sky SD and HD was minimal to say the least (might be because the Pioneers had pretty good inbuilt scalers)... With the Pioneer 60" it was much more noticable... HD is good, and I have it...but I could live without it...

As well as one customer services rep hanging up on me when I asked how I can remotely retrieve voicemail, and another rep telling me to call 07802090100 to retrieve it (it turned out to be the number to retrieve voicemail when abroad... And they text you number which is handy when you cant receive texts...), being told its not o2's fault, but they didnt know what the fault was or when its likely to be fixed.. and they wont be considering compensation... and that redirecting to another number will take 24hrs...

Good luck trying to find that Sleep button on there when you are half awake and want another 10 minutes under the duvet in the morning...
I guess by the time you have located it you will be wide awake anyway, so maybe it was an intentional ploy to get you to wake up and not be lazy......
The Avanti Flow has a fairly big curved Sleep button on top, and a weeny little one on the front, but the top one is a bit recessed so even that is a pain to find when you are not quite with it...
Gimme a big Sleep button that lights up when the alarm is going off...
With a trade card most stuff in Halfords is 50%-60% off the shelfprice... Still, EuroCarParts is a better place to get your car spares...
Yes the staff are all teenagers who usually dont know an alternator from a starter motor...
But, their Halfords Advanced workshop tools are really good... Independently tested their torque wrenches (made by Norbar) came out tops for accuracy, beating the top name brands by a wide margin...And the 150 piece socket set is lifetime guaranteed and unbelievably good quality (frequently on offer for 50% off... or permenantly 50% off with a trade card) for about 90 squids...

Only a matter of time before they change the T's and C's on these new packages once you've been with them long enough.
