Just had to return a 1TB WD Passport as it failed. I managed to get back the majority of the content on the but it fails all the WD tests (software included on the drive, luckily I'd backed that up).
It's interesting to note that the drive within the enclosure is directly wired to the usb hardware and is does not have a standard sata style drive.
If you ignore the price the one I have is a decent bit of kit, I bought a Tan coloured one when my missus bought me a Kindle for Xmas.
The light is good especially if your eyesight isn't quite as good as it used to be, and I find the fact that the light has the colour temperature of whitish LEDs rather than a tungsten bulb helps as well.
It's a great shame that these high street white goods shifters are going down the pan, as where else am I going to go to checkout these electronic goodies before buying online.
we live in a country where the media and the public are tolerated by its government and can make comments such as yours to an article such a s this one without fear of government intervention, unlike the unlucky people of Libya.
This would be a definite buy if it had tinternet radio, as I need to replce my Philips dusk/dawn light, such a shame, it's not as if it is beyond Pures capabilities. Oh well maybe next Christmas.
'A Scottish botnet master was this morning jailed for 18 months and ordered to pay £5,000 costs for hijacking many thousands of computers from his mum's front room.'
I don't think his mother should have been allowed to have that many computers.
That reminds me that I need to hoover out my PCs, if you could keep posting these Dirty PC articles it will save me having ot put a note in my calendar.
If you have a free transport system, especially something like the tube in that London, you'll just encourage the homeless to spend their days riding the U!

this data was collected accidentally over such a long period of time, it would appear from this article that google is still accidentally collecting this data...
For instance, cameras can be used as an alternative to road humps,
Ever tried running over a speed camera, my mate did and trashed his car, mind you it made it easier for others to drive over it as it was then lying in the road!

Oh come on...
Geordi La Forge has had these for years.
Very long blue touch paper?
The post is required, and must contain letters.
Re: Beta! - How much does it cost now?
Actually, quite a lot... they've just changed their business model.
Quality?
How can you loose something if you didn't have it in the first place?
You're not a shill...
...round here you're just an Anonymous Coward.
Not me
Even if I was sat alone in my living room I would still not talk to the TV, now a mind/thought interface would be a much better bet.

MILFOIL
now that just got me thinking...
Who?
Waawy the Woman?
Well attended courses?
"The average number of staff on each course was 851 for e-learning, against 81 for manual based and 104 for face-to-face."
104 people on a face-to-face course? Not really a course, more a lecture, I can't see anyone learning a lot in a class of 104 people...
Go Switzerland...
Might be a strange and quirky country, I know I lived there, but they do have some common sense and nice cheese.
Feel the burn...
... I spent a £100 on fireworks last week so this would appear to be the next step in burning up my hard earned cash.
Why?
'Three political parties have joined forces to launch a proposed law (in Dutch)'
Why would the Belgians propose a law in Dutch?
rUBBISH FoR TExTiNg...
which is a shame...
It's OK...
... if you google the following it is all within the first result.
newzbin2 secret tor
Cat mounting...
I immediately thought of this video and how to amalgamate the 2 into some sort of useful something or other:

Seems excesive...
... to move house just to get better broadband speed.
WD Passport failure...

Well I like it...
If you ignore the price the one I have is a decent bit of kit, I bought a Tan coloured one when my missus bought me a Kindle for Xmas.

If you're feeling flush I'd say buy one.
Did
'Old Rosie' get a look in?
How many?
“The Department of Health faces a major reorganisation of its top structures that will result in fewer Director General posts."
So how many Directors General does the Department of Health actually need?
A shame...

Patenetly, patent troll...
IMHO all patent trolls will be first against the wall...
...it is useful if
you have more than one uncased Kindle around the house, if each Kindle has a different set of images you tend to know if it's belongs to you.

Should've tried...
... miranda photographic equipment
Excellent
Started my weekend off with a smile.
Trouble is
Anyone with decent skills in I(C)T isn't goign to want to teach a bunch of school kids for peanuts...
Because
we live in a country where the media and the public are tolerated by its government and can make comments such as yours to an article such a s this one without fear of government intervention, unlike the unlucky people of Libya.
Public Money...
As part owner of this 'Public Money', I'm quite happy for it to be given to Fujitsu on the condition that my property is one of the 5 million....
Twunt
I think the title sums it up...
Taken into account
I think the original math has already taken the sleeping hours into acount.
Only thing left then...
off to the Gulag with you.
I'd love a pair...
but at that price and based on the number of pairs of goggle of lost over the years I think £45 quid is going to have to be the price point.
not a problem
Your sailing ship stays in orbit while you take a shuttle to the surface, or beam down!
Lack of tinternet radio :(
This would be a definite buy if it had tinternet radio, as I need to replce my Philips dusk/dawn light, such a shame, it's not as if it is beyond Pures capabilities. Oh well maybe next Christmas.
That many computers?
'A Scottish botnet master was this morning jailed for 18 months and ordered to pay £5,000 costs for hijacking many thousands of computers from his mum's front room.'
I don't think his mother should have been allowed to have that many computers.
Wrong...
Looking up my home post code shows good service indoor and out.
Shows how much they know as indoor coverage is non-existent and outdoor coveragte is piss-poor...
Thank you...
That reminds me that I need to hoover out my PCs, if you could keep posting these Dirty PC articles it will save me having ot put a note in my calendar.
Quite like it really
I think it's a goer and if I didn't already have too many laptops would proably buy one...
Oh Christ, will someone think about the children?
They're not having any of my charlie...
not so...
If you have a free transport system, especially something like the tube in that London, you'll just encourage the homeless to spend their days riding the U!
no so...

Doohickey for those with straight roads
As it appears to clip over your steering wheel it would be useless when going round corners...
She was inebriated...
I cannot tell a lie, I stole the car and drove her round the corner for a laugh!
So did google
manage to collect all the data from around the world before anyone noticed that they were accidentally collecting wi-fi data?
I think not.
BTW I have no axe to gring against google, I find their services very useful, I just find this accidental collection of wifi data rather convenient.
How come
this data was collected accidentally over such a long period of time, it would appear from this article that google is still accidentally collecting this data...
Surely not...
And there was me thinking it was to stop the electrons falling out.
For instance, cameras can be used as an alternative to road humps,
Ever tried running over a speed camera, my mate did and trashed his car, mind you it made it easier for others to drive over it as it was then lying in the road!
Don't think it was intentional...
Tourism
It's a well known fact that tourists take weekends and bank holidyas off!
