Have you thought of mounting a camera above the lawn, then superimposing a grid on the picture and mounting some sort of marker on the mower? If you fed the cam through a computer you should be able to track the location of the mower on the lawn/grid in real time.
Meego still surprisingly lively for a dead project
Last I checked (about 5 minutes ago) Meego still seemed pretty active of a corpse, Intel seems to be following through on their promises to carry on development and Meego remains a viable option for device manufacturers fleeing Android, if there are any. Both the N9 and N900 Nokia devices were well reviewed, though N9 sales will likely be limited due to lack of availability, and Nokia's abandonment of the project leaves an opening for any handset maker willing to partner with Intel.
So the evil hacker duped Anonymous how exactly? By making Sony act like douche bags, for years? Doesn't it seem more likely that Sony provoked Anonymous all by themselves, by being douche bags, and the hacker took advantage of the situation. Seriously someone at Sony is smoking the good stuff.
Computers for Schools is a federally run recycling program for old PCs run be the Canadian Government http://www.ic.gc.ca/eic/site/cfs-ope.nsf/eng/Home The should be happy to take your old PCs off your hands.
I laugh when I think that Sony might have avoided these issues had they not removed the OtherOS feature. The lesson is don't piss off the Free Software community, maybe Oracle should take a hint.
Your statement "The GPL requires no timetable for releasing source code" is not correct. The GPLs copyleft provisions are clearly activated by distribution of the software, meaning legally Dell was obliged to release the source the moment they distributed the first device loaded with the modified kernel. While I'm sure Dell will correct the issue, there is really no excuse for a company of their size, with their experience working with FLOSS to have screwed up this way. Quite simply they should know better.
How are Apple and Amazom pricing different from a book store? Unless a book is marked for clearance you almost always pay the price printed on the spine by the publisher and that is the same no matter what book store you visit. While E-books don't have to physically be printed or shipped I suspect that publishers pricing models for E-books is similar to that for physical books so naturally E-book sellers charge the 'Suggested Retail Price'.
I used to do support for T-mobile and the Sidekick Data service went down on a regular basis. The fact that it appears to have gone permanently tits up is not a real surprise, it was always unreliable, insecure and badly managed and that was before Microsoft had a chance to really screw it up. Given the poor quality of the Sidekick devices (I once performed an exchange for a woman on her 22nd Sidekick exchange due to device failure) I'm completely unsurprised the backend infrastructure is just as badly put together.

Location system

A quick point
It should be remembered that after tax write downs Google only ended up paying about 3.5bn for Motorola's mobile division

Wrong about time table

Just one question
