Technically it's the private equity firm OpCapita that bought out the Comet brand that will be making moves on Game. They seem to have the readies to be able to buy them out and their debt I assume.
Well, if you can afford the latests shiny at release then I guess not, but I personally very VERY rarely ever buy games on release - I would much rather wait until there are some relatively cheap second hand copies kicking about, and even then I can pick up a couple of games for £20 or less.
If it was a case that MS were doing this in the name of progress, then yes I would be in favour of it, but that doesn't appear to be the case here - it looks like they are effectively trying to shut down the second hand games market with this activity.
Depends on the specifics surely? Where the ISP servers are based, not the customer receiving the connection to them? What if you live literally yards over the border in Scotland, but your ISP is based south of the border?
IANAL, but as this is all new territory as far as applicable process is concerned, won't any actions hereafter set the benchmark for future actions?
That's right! Our own home-grown criminals are just not trying hard enough as far as I'm concerned.
Maybe we should retrain all those old-school bank robbers that are doing a long stretch, give them some IT skills - that'll show them pesky foreigners how to properly rob you blind!
If it's integrated with the firmware, doesn't that mean that Google have worked with them? Or is the Android platform really that open? Not trolling, just asking as I'm curious.
Length of a double decker bus = 12 metres (newer models in the UK) - We'll call this "L"
Average distance from the Sun to Pluto = 5,906,376,272 km (the variance is between 4.44 billion km and 7.38 billion km based on it's elliptical orbit), in metres = 5,906,376,272,000 - We'll call this "D"
So... D divided by L = 492,198,022,667 Double Decker Buses.

I don't drink that often (couple of times a year, mainly birthdays and social gatherings).
Nor am I a waster (again, my opinion).
Did I mention that I am a gamer? Oops! Sorry!
Although in all fairness, you are generalising what a "typical gamer" is with your comment, so it is unlikely that I would be able to meet your lofty criteria.
Sony and Nintendo had a big thing going on with the development of a CD based entertainment/console system that would effectively be an add-on for the SNES. Nintendo pulled out of the project after issues with the original contracts that would grant Sony complete control over all games written for the proposed format. After most of the hard RnD work had been done, Sony went ahead and bundled the tech together into a single unit.
But would that mean that they would only be able to travel through to a period of time where the equipment actually exists? For instance, they could only go as far back as the invention of the first "time machine"?
...Apple pulled the plug on an app that provided a feed from another source that the developer of the app had no control over?
Seriously?
Pfft
So what happens if a developer produces an app that provides a direct feed from say, El Reg, and Vulture Central decide to publish a story on, let's say a maker of a well known mobile telephony device, and someone posts in the comments page to that story a link to a website that says "Ra ra ra ra apple fanboi ra ra ra ra overpriced handset ra ra ra ra raving maniacs ra ra ra ra", Apple would pull the plug on the app?

Alliance FTW!
"Then, when you finally figure out what you need to do it takes at least half an hour, often more than an hour"
First - read the quest text (although I suppose that is the problem that Jeffrey Kaplan is describing in the article - never been a problem for me personally), then you will know what to do; it's a basic escort quest ffs!
Secondly - half an hour to an hour? Seriously? Took me about 12 minutes with my DK, and about 18 minutes with my Hunter, once the main battle started at the entrance to the sewers.
"...and is utterly pointless"
I disagree, I gained 2 weapon skill points (2 handed swords) and 2 defense skill points while doing that quest on the DK.

Yeah, but the graphics are crappy, and you only get one life.

Bad troll, naughty troll for making me respond - back into your cave!

Re: Uh huh?
"back to the days of cartridge, with almost no load times"
Hahaha! No, really - have you experienced the load times for PSV games yet? Particularly the high texture ones.
Re: THERE'S MORE TO LIFE
Yet here you are, commenting on a page about game controllers.
Re: in other news,..
Nice troll bait, 6/10 for getting me to respond!
What you did there?

Err...
Didn't BitDefender say that the Carrier IQ is "so deeply integrated with the device’s firmware [that] Carrier IQ Finder cannot remove it".

Just waiting now...
...for the low budget SyFy channel movie version "MegaShrimp Vs. (insert other animal name here)".
Hmmm....I'll bite.

Ouch. Not a fan then?

Yes, but they can allways rely on their abundance of citrus based explosives to ensure that science gets done.

Agreed - which country are you posting from M1? Different countries have different listed Human Rights Acts.

Roads?
Where we're going we don't need roads.
Mine's the one with the Flux Capacitor in the back pocket.
Yes, but.....
...will it be recorded in Dubbly?
Enquiring Australian Hairdresser's Nightmares need to know!
Mine's the one with the zucchini wrapped in tin foil in the pocket.
I'm sorry....
...Labels on kebabs? What kebab shops did they go to? No emporium of the unidentified meat product i've been to sticks a label on 'em.
Thank you...
