Still have my A2000 w/040 and my A4000T w/PPC and Video Toaster 4000. Oh, and an A1200 toy/game machine someone gave me (I've never been into games). One of the sweetest machines to develop for/on. I miss EVERY application having an ARexx interface since I've had to develop software/hardware on nasty x86 platforms for a living. Now that I'm retired I might just pick one of these up and finally ENJOY developing again.
A co-worker loaned me his manuals. Being an Amiga programmer, I was quite surprised to see a nice micro-kernel based OS on the x86 platform. After a little research I found out that the founder of QNX was a fellow Amiga programmer who had written a few games. Gee, I wonder where he got the idea for a real-time micro-kernel based OS?
The best one being a PPC A4000T with a Video Toaster 4000, 24 bit video card, DSP audio card, 10 base ether (ehh). Mt trusty ol A2000 w/040 networked in. Could emulate a Mac faster than the Mac could be a Mac. PC emulation a bit slow and not much fun. And yes, ARexx integrated into the OS and EVERY app. AmiNet offering skads of freeware, most of which would cost $30 for PC equiv. Why charge for software when it was such a pleasure to program.

Am I just lucky, or whay?
Just got my shiny new 3GHz AMD X4 assembled and running today.
After doing the reboot shuffle getting Vista Ultimate all patched and
happy... I read this article. Amazingly enough, all works ok (so far).
We'll see what happens when I install some apps (fingers, arms toes, eyes, and legs crossed.
All of mine are still alive

300kV??
How did they come up with the value 300kV?
Lightning is measured in kA.
Did they happen to be standing next to a field mill?
