There is so much hype against nuclear reactors that has been instilled in people by the hippies of the 70s and 80s. Those people don't apply critical thinking, they just react as they were brainwashed to do!
The Guardian has never done anything like that - much. Why else are they making so much noise and finger pointing, apart from diverting people from taking a good hard look at their practices.
While they are at it they should also cut out the subsidies for all the useless wind mills. This would force the owners of said abominations to look at the commercial viability - or not, as may be.
If I was buying for someone else the last tablet I would consider would be an apple device.
This isn't an anything but apple rant - I have friends with apples and the biggest complaint is connectivity. All my tablets connect to all my computers and USB sticks without any problems at all.
I have to agree about the removal of price comparison sites. When I'm looking for equipment I want the specs from the manufacturer first not a load of 'where to get it from' idiot sites with no practical information.
Only one thing to add - make sure the pipe of the vacuum line in the tube is high enough so that any condensation that will make its way to the bottom isn't sucked into the pump.
If, as you say the military don't appear to be upset by LightSquared then it proves that the filtering can be done - PLL anyone. It would also appear the commercial guys just have sloppy designs and are now realising they are at fault.
...were doing it. The guardian and Mirror a lot more than the NotW.
In fact the BBC and Guardian see this as a crusade to keep their monopoly on the government trough going. It only hotted up when NI wanted to buy Sky outright and the beeb saw it as a counter to their distouted presentation of so called 'news'. The guardian saw that if the beeb went down then the government job adds would fall and with that their income - hence their leading the scrum.
I suppose the fact that the information came from a friend of the Brown family has just passed you by, but then Brown has to jump on the band wagon because the papers dumped him before the last election.
Why will people never learn that Keynesian economics got the western governments into the financial mess they are in today. Taxing high earners to appear to give to the poor does not work.
The fact the Guardian has been pushing this so hard says that they have something that they don't want looking at too closely. Maybe the police should, in fact be looking at as well.
Never ever trust sending your details to the US .- if the government doesn't get it then the hackers will. I'd bet on the US gov getting it first though.
The NSPCC is a fake charity in that it gets a large proportion of its income from our taxes via government grants etc, (see http://fakecharities.org/2011/01/charity-216401/ for details). Therefore it is not surprising that it wants to keep up its toughing in the public purse.
Maybe if Niko didn't support the turning of a large proportion of the grain crops into ethanol 'green' fuel then he wouldn't have anything to dance about.
We have wild boar in this part of France (just over the boarder from Spain), that are a real pest. Not only do they dig up the gardens but wander through the village at night annoying all the dogs. Fortunately the local hunters group make their monthly sweep which occasionally bags one but more importantly drives them off for a while.
Many years ago, when I worked in Sydney, there was a shop called 'knobs and knockers' - it sold door furniture for both domestic and Industrial. I don't know if it is still there - I left a rather large number of years ago.
The Entourage eDGe is a 10" pad and a 9" e-ink reader combined, i.e. two screens. You can take notes and save them as a PDF. At the moment it runs Android 1.6 but that should be updated in the new year.
Just try and read your lcd screen in bright sunlight, then compare it with an e-ink screen in the same conditions - the e-ink wins hand down, as well as having a very low power draw (only draws power when changing the screen).
Also, backlit lcd screens are hard on the eyes if you are reading them for a long time, not so e-ink.

Re: But why..
Not just the UK but Europe.
Re: Medion? Aldi?
Actually support from Aldi is quite good over here in France.
Re: This is because OS/2 does not support flash drives perhaps :)
Those rather large companies that want reliability .
Re: This is because OS/2 does not support flash drives perhaps :)
OS/2 does support flash drives if they have a standard interface.
The good Mr Mueller...
we learn today is now employed by Oracle as well as Microsoft (see GROKLAW) so is it any wonder he is being gleeful over anything against Android?
Re: About Time
Simple, the enterprise customers get a non metro UI - maybe something like the XP one they are all using.
Why not??
There is so much hype against nuclear reactors that has been instilled in people by the hippies of the 70s and 80s. Those people don't apply critical thinking, they just react as they were brainwashed to do!
Re: Just a reminder....
OS/2 was, and is, better than win NT and win today.
Most of win 3.1 was a copy of OS/2 and MS are still trying to get something like the OS/2 desktop to work.
The Guardian has never done anything like that - much. Why else are they making so much noise and finger pointing, apart from diverting people from taking a good hard look at their practices.
Re: Free stuff
The Gendarmerie in France changed over to linux a few years ago without apparent trouble.
Now if this sort of testing were applied to climate science....
A new faster computer will help them to get the forecast wrong much faster and it won't help them in their CAGW stance.
Re: Let me look into my crystal balls
No changes there then.
BBC boob
The BBC boobed big time by inviting people to commit offences under the Protection of Children Act. See www.annaraccoon.com for details.
Wind
While they are at it they should also cut out the subsidies for all the useless wind mills. This would force the owners of said abominations to look at the commercial viability - or not, as may be.

I think Big Bolt Cutter Man is best for that and fits in the boot as well.

They are not creating artificial blood but the blood vessels so they can replace damaged arteries etc.
Only one thing to add - make sure the pipe of the vacuum line in the tube is high enough so that any condensation that will make its way to the bottom isn't sucked into the pump.
Re Military
If, as you say the military don't appear to be upset by LightSquared then it proves that the filtering can be done - PLL anyone. It would also appear the commercial guys just have sloppy designs and are now realising they are at fault.
Missing
The one thing that is always missing in the reviews of phones - what are they like at making and receiving calls.
Stolen
I'm not sure MS got it right since they stole it from IBM and the OS/2 UI, and even then they didn't get it to work properly.
Title
Someone looking for large quantities of cash in the form of research grants methinks.
No
No the left leaning BBC did that yonks ago, as did the Guardian, by being the mouth pieces of the communist/labour loonies.
All...
...were doing it. The guardian and Mirror a lot more than the NotW.

Keynes
Why will people never learn that Keynesian economics got the western governments into the financial mess they are in today. Taxing high earners to appear to give to the poor does not work.
Interesting..
... but does it actually make phone calls and if so how well?
Guardian
And don't forget the Guardian hacked e-mail accounts and printed them.
Continue...
the enquiry but include a very hard look at the Guardian as well. All their shouting and finger pointing is just a cover up for their hacking.
Cover up
The fact the Guardian has been pushing this so hard says that they have something that they don't want looking at too closely. Maybe the police should, in fact be looking at as well.
Test
I just tried the three 2 letter examples that were given and connected without problems using firefox on OS/2
Help
They do have the address of a good hacker they could call on for help in solving the problem.
Cloud
Yet another reason NOT to use the cloud.
text in email
You mean they have managed to get a real text editor that works at last.
If you mean the html crap then that goes directly into my garbage folder without me reading it.
Pathetic...
They obviously need to take lessons on doom saying from the like of the AGW mob.
Oh, maybe they have, might, possible...
Never
Never ever trust sending your details to the US .- if the government doesn't get it then the hackers will. I'd bet on the US gov getting it first though.
P45
Those going on strike are obviously asking for their P45s.
At least it will show they are not required for duty and should give a list of where the cuts can come.

Strange

Kindle for Android
There is already a Kindle app for Android which they will hopefully update to alow easy use on large screens.
The eDGe ...
... has been in use for quite some time now. It is a dual screen Android device with a 9" e-ink screen and a 10" lcd screen.
See http://www.entourageedge.com/devices/entourage-edge.html for some details.
How about the Reg having a look at it?
Entourage eDGe
The Entourage eDGe is a 10" pad and a 9" e-ink reader combined, i.e. two screens. You can take notes and save them as a PDF. At the moment it runs Android 1.6 but that should be updated in the new year.
Money
And where is the money to pay for it coming from to pay for it, should it get to the UK? Not the tax payers again I hope.
Entourage edge
There is already one with an e-ink and an lcd screen
http://www.entourageedge.com/devices/entourage-edge.html
e-ink
Just try and read your lcd screen in bright sunlight, then compare it with an e-ink screen in the same conditions - the e-ink wins hand down, as well as having a very low power draw (only draws power when changing the screen).

Sun project escape
The other project that needs to get out is VirtualBox.
