As a Reg Vulture since 1997 I miss that all the headlines are in BLUE.
IN today's page there are 7 stories in blue. The first headlines I read.. Then there is this grey box my eyes gloss over because the change signals to me "ADVERT---IGNORE ME!!!"
Then on the right are the "top stories" again links in black and ignored as "not typical Vulture".
Otherwise it reads & works OK. I have no other gripes or comments.
It's not a DRM issue. I have seen that error before. Though I am not a programmer (and thanks to Adam Bishop above for the exact spec) I know it's a FILE PERMISSION issue, not a DRM issue.
Seems like a Unix command-line or 2 could change the file permissions.
Nope. Sorry Micro$quish (to paraphrase Bloom County)... Not quite as good as Google.
Just this morning I tried a search & mispelled the word. Google had the right spelling right there at the top AND a dozen of more links to the incorrectly spelled word.
Yes ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the revolution. We have an idea for the newest old technology to make it to Web 2.0. Yes that's right. Smell-o-Vision. Flash animations, Dog food commercials and Brittany Spears all come to life through the ajax programming of this little cheap USB 2 device. Bring the action right to your nose with the New Smell-o-Vision for Web 2.0.

Is this really a good idea??
Ohhh yeah This is gonna be a GRAND success -- for MALWARE PUNTERS!
As soon as they get holdof this they can INSTALL A MALWARE store "deeply intergrated into" their browser.
**sigh** Will anyone ever learn?
The gravestone because this SHOULD be D.O.A.
So if this is true.. then...
Well when I read this i had a thought...
"and if there was such a widespread problem historically Flash could not have achieved its wide use today."
So by his logic Windows has achieved its widespread monopoly because it has no widespread problems? 500,000 viruses is, therefore, not a problem>
HA HA HA HA!
(Joke Alert because the logic is just so funny!)
1984 is another day closer
This is 2009, not 1984.
Since when does the HIgh Court get to mandate the required rewriting of history?
Orwell would be turning over in his grave...
wheelchaire-carCan you say.... NERDBOY???
Can you say NERDBOY squared?
I thought the Segway was nerdish... This WOULD get you shot on the streets of most big cities...
<<--because it was the nerdiest pic there...
i LOVE the Banner Graphic...
No WONDER they heed this guide if all they do is sleep while the kids are raised by the TV...
(Paris because this is about the intelligence I see her putting into parenting...)

The Hobbit's ALREADY reads like a movie
For those who have not read it lately, the Hobbit ALREADY reads like a movie script. (It reminds me of Pet Semetary in the way it reads.)
The depth isn't really there, but the story just moves along, one thing after another.
Shouldn't be much to change or edit. Just follow the book... It seems easy enuff to me.
Oh and I theink Guillermo is a great fit for it..

Dang it's been that long?
I cannot believe it I've been reading you bozos since day 1?
Wow. Now I feel really old... and just that much stupider

Pansies!~
This is a stupid law.
Let's save the death count for it's own special Darwin Award catagory!
(Paris-- just cause no one would laugh if she was first)
Don't forget Alaska
Just today (March 24) our legislature rejected joining REal ID by refusing to allow DMV to create Real ID Driver's Licenses.
So add us to that list of refuseniks!
Happy up here enjoying our personal freedoms.

The IT angle is....
The IT angle is....
Are you ready for it? Remember no chair throwing....
IT was a 2 story teapot!
Hello?!?!? A 2 story tall teapot!
And now for something completely different...
**ps. you guys need a "Duh!?!" category of comment for those ohhh-sooo-obvious survey results.**
He....he...hee..hee
He died at age 69...
Cue the requesite giggling from the immature nerdy-geekboys playing D&D right now.
(Yes I include myself in there somewhere)
Uhhh Better update this...

Question is which set of permissions?

It has a cooler name
I know why Blu-Ray is gonna win...
It has a cooler name!
Think about it. Would you rather own a "Blu-Ray" disk player?
(Sounds cool, like a Star Wars type laser gun!)
Or the boring "HD DVD" player.
(Bleargh... :P)
Just my cent-and-a-half

What about...
What about the...
Oh wait a minute. I don't run a cycle-hogging, always updating, spend-for-it-year-after-year anti-virus package.
As far as is known there are no live viruses in the wild to catch!
At least not for me...

Here Here-- Christmas is too early!
I agree with all us losers-- Christmas starts WAYYYY tooo early.
Here in the States (Ok Alaska, not quite one of the "Lower 48" but still with some issues) I saw Christmas sh*t in the stores BEFORE HALLOWEEN.
I've god young'uns I work with (still in their 20's) who think putting up their tee over Thanksgiving weekend is OK. S
Sheesh! There should not me ANYTHING Christmas until December 1.
Fed up & cranky from too little coffee on Thanksgiving morning,

Hmmmmmmm
Interesting...
Wonder how this vulnerability got thru?
This is pretty serious, though thankfully only to the host machine.
10.5.1 & Mail 3.1 here.
Interesting. I expect better than this from Apple.
Tsk...Tsk...

Same thing IN LiveSearch and NO RESULTS. Period.
That word was "applematterz"

BAAPS, according to the Redicul-ionary
"BAAPS" -- The sound made when putting your face between a nice large set of D-cups and exhaling quickly. (Reminiscent of the "bronx cheer")

I want a free one
I want a free USB Stick! Where can I find one of these.
Seriously now I'd just load it into my G5 & erase it.
Who'd be stupid enough to run anything off a found USB stick?
I mean Id look for good naughty pics or something.
