fair enough, but seeing as most people never bothered with vista, wouldn't a comparison of Windows 7 and XP make more sense? If Windows 7 is just as annoying to use as Vista, compared to XP, then people still won't move from XP. Especially as they will have had 3 or 4 service packs by then, and by nice and stable.
Err, no. How about, as I really don't want a new OS that is 'just a little different', you instead take as long as you like to ensure ALL the features are in, and work, and only release it when they are. I don't care how long it takes! I might be ready in a few years for a new OS with lots of new features that work. I certainly won't be ready any time sooner for a new OS with some new features, most of which are just eye candy or don't work.
So, when using hydrogen, there is so little power that an overtaking manoeuvre that was previously safe would now render you dead? You'd better be damn sure there's a big warning sign somewhere to tell you that you are now driving on hydrogen!
I bought this camera last year, and a great camera it is too. I don't remember the details but we did have one problem in sourcing it. It seems that Currys, PC World, etc., do not sell it with the 'correct' lens pack, they ave swapped it for some other, inferior, lens (or two, can't remember if it's both). Strangely, Argos had the camera with the right lenses so I bought from there. So, make sure and do your research before buying.
If AVG is working properly and so can pick up incoming viruses from downloads, then why would it need to pre-scan search results to stop such files being downloaded? Is there a different virus database for this pre-scanning or something? This search nonsense seems a complete waste of bandwidth, cpu and everybody's time and effort to me.
What a joke. That's like sticking yugo wheels on your ferrari. If you're going high-end then 4gb should be the starter, with room for 8 at least. When will PC manufacturers get it into their heads that the one thing that can drastically improve performance is RAM and people are sick of buying machines with paltry amounts of the stuff in them?

no surprise
If I had an ID card, I would feel like a second-class citizen too, as it would have been forced upon me on pain of death.
mmm
likey
no downside to Windows 7 over Windows Vista

Have non removable by sheeple batteries on the mother board, so I think this is a problem for more companies then apple.

uhh, what? pretty damn simple to remove any motherboard battery that I've ever seen.
cut out features to ship 'on time'?

Not sure how useful a phone that will only ever get charged when lying on a desk will be? Give it a windy-up handle too :)

if it were also a phone..
..it would be exactly what I am looking for to replace mine.
Shame really.
I'll wait
until at least service pack 2 before getting on either of them!
fifth?
"claims it can undercut the database approach by up to a fifth"
Might as well stop there and read something more worthwhile then eh?
2 gig ram?

TV connectivity?
So is it only scart and hdmi it supports or does it also do split a/v stuff too? And is there an optical out for audio at all?
