As my orig fat PS2 is getting on a bit, and I'm going to be buying a new LCD TV before Xmas I thought I'd treat myself to a new console. I've decided on a PS3. However on principle I'm not going to pay £425 no matter how much 'free' stuff they throw in. I'm pretty sure that there will be a price drop before Xmas, so I've got my fingers crossed.
Eventually it will get into Sony's thick head that one of the reasons they're not shifting PS3s is they're so bloody expensive! I know BluRay has a lot to do with it, but when you do a base price compare with a £180 Wii or a £300 360 Elite then £425 is just off the scale. And we won't talk about how UK consumers are being screwed royally compared to our US counterparts...
