But who needs a 6Gbps link from a single drive only capable of actually reading data from the platters at around 100MBytes/sec?
The data interface speed is important only when transferring from cache -- i.e. from the 64MB cache on this particular drive. Correct me if I'm wrong.
But yes, the speed of this SATA II 2TB Black should plummet when the faster SATA 3 drives come onstream.
