Alcatel OT-808 fashion phone

With its mirrored exterior and clamshell action, it’s quite deliberate that, looking at the Alcatel OT-808, you end up thinking it resembles a make-up compact. and cheerful - although, you can get 'driod phones from £100 these days, so i am not sure getting a non-smart phone is a smart idea these days if you require things like mail, facebook or twitter.

some of us have girlfriends/partners/wives, and some of them are less than happy with their 'phones.

Looks like the sort of thing my step neice would use. For a £50 I reckon it's pretty good. Compared to, say, Oranges Vegas which is utter shite, the Alcatel looks even better.

Small question though, is it Java equipped. Some phones in this price range don't have it and that makes them dreadful to own.

Punctuation?

Boffin

Hm, the keyboard looks like it has the punctuation characters accesible by an alt key or something like that. Pretty much the same case with most QWERTY keyboards, even the BlackBerry. If this is the case, punctuation is pretty quick anyway. If it is more like the 'berry's "SYM" key, well then that slows typing down and you will suffer. Which of these cases does this keyboard stand in?
