RS 180

I have these and they are great, even with 2 macs running off wireless and a range of equipment including a backup server running I get very little interference and excellent sound quality, can roam freely through the house and garden with no problems. Only issue is I am more or less permanently plugged in!

16 hours recharging time!

Looked good until I found I could only use them 60% of the time!

Also why not a good quality mike?

How do these compare to...

...the Sony Sony DR BT50 headsets? For the price I can't complain on how well they work with my Nokia E90 or N900 phones. But I would prefer headphones that have removable batteries and sound just as good.

They don't..

They're a completely different type of headphones. The Sony DR BT50s are for pure portability, i.e. walking about town.

The Sennheisers are tied to a base station in a fixed location.

Nice

I've had an RS120 set for a few years. Being a simple analogue system, there was always a little bit of hiss in the background, though the sound quality was generally much better than in-ear sets. The charging system worked very well, and I never had to change the supplied batteries.

Very tempted by these -- they sound well worth the money.

RS-170

Just bought they're less mobile sibling the RS 170 for £150. Well worth the money for comfort and quality.

What's the range...

Love my current set of Sennheiser wireless headphones (S130? used them so much the number is worn off and on the second set of rechargeables), but they don't quite get the promised coverage I'd like. The house isn't that big, but I'd like to walk to either end and not have dropouts.

Recording?

How do these work for monitoring live recording? Is there a lag? If not these would be a great clutter-less solution for on-the-go interviews..
