Did Sony really boast about this? I thought the industry was finally starting to understand that small photosites are a subject of shame rather than pride.

Mind you, the average target market high-megapixel camera-phone purchaser really won't understand why this is the case or particularly care, so perhaps Sony are on to something, like the cigarette manufacturers still aggressively marketing into China.
