Is there such a thing as Bluetooth - or other wireless technology - pen that will allow me to write on paper yet capture what I write, digitally?
This would be a great way to take notes if, say, you only have a phone with you, not a laptop, and you can write more quickly than you can type.
Transfer to/from the host PC isn't wireless I don't think, but the Logitech IO is essentially a "normal" pen (no wire) that digitally captures your writing (on special stationery) which can then be transferred via the recharge/docking station.
Logitech have since sold the IO product to Destiny Wireless (UK).
My wife got one of these after it appeared on the Gadget Show, you just clip the reader to a pad or any peice of paper and write away. To access your notes you just plug it in via usb and either save as a .jpg or convert to text in word.
Hmmm... from the looks of the pack from Destiny Wireless it seems that the Logitech IO included is the dockable one, not the wireless model (there are 2 separate versions).
Another company in the UK offering digital pen solutions is Magicomm. It seems that their G303 pen is both dockable in a USB cradle, but can also communicate via bluetooth with your phone.
They have a consumer site that seems to offer the same sort of things as the Destiny Wireless one:
Apparently "...when it’s all safely downloaded, pick out any drawings from your writing, and at the click of a button you can convert all the scruffy script into tidy, organised type...".
