Hauppauge have always been a bit hush hush about things like that.

I remember buying their standard TV Capture card fare about 5 years ago, only to find out that it recorded to some proprietary sub Mpeg 2 format which at the time was pretty unsupported by most if not all video editing software.

Not only that, but I tried getting it working as a proper HD Video recorder with timelapse etc, before such things were common and cheap, pre-windows media centre, and it just didn't want to appear as a normal capture device, especially bad was the lack of standardised support for channel changing within it.

I dont generally buy Hauppauge any more.

Wow, I didn't need to look up how to spell Hauppauge!
